Our adventure will take you to admire the best birds in Lima. This is a full day tour that guarantee the most amazing birds and to enjoy two popular places to watch birds near Lima, the Pucusana bay and the Pantanos de Villa natural reserve. Enbark on a delightful full day trip to encounter the endemic birds of Peru, see Humboldt Penguins as well as other shorebirds like Red-legged Cormorant, Blue-footed Booby, Peruvian Pelican and more. Here also we will find mammals of the Peruvian sea, such as sea lions.
Birding in Lima offer us good opportunities to admire the most important Lima birds like the Inca Tern and the Surf Cinclodes. Aproximatly in this tour you will be able to see between 80 to 168 species. Breathe the salty air walking the surroundings of the bay and go on a boat tour around the rocky islands of Pucusana, finally the Pantanos de Villa will provide us with marsh and water birds. This is a birding tour that we cannot miss if we are going to spend time in Lima.

Itinerary
5:30 am: Departure. Our driver and guide will pick you up from your preferred hotel in Lima. Begin your journey by leaving Lima early in the morning to make the most of your day. The travel by car is (approximately 1-hour drive) to Pucusana. Arrive in the charming fishing village of Pucusana. We will take a moment to enjoy the coastal scenery and prepare our birdwatching gear.
8:00 am: Birding in Pucusana. We will start our birding along the beach looking for seabirds such as: Peruvian Pelican, Inca Tern, Guanay Cormorant. Exploring the rocky shorelines and the fishing port area for additional bird species.
10:30 am: Boat Tour. We will take a boat tour around the rocky coastlines teeming with seabirds, where you can observe: Humboldt Penguins, Sea Lions. Enjoy the scenic views and the vibrant marine life around the islands.
12:00 pm: Lunch time. The group will stop at a local restaurant to enjoy fresh seafood and traditional Peruvian cuisine. Take this time to rest and share your morning bird sightings with fellow birders.
1:00 pm: Departure to Pantanos de Villa. After lunch, we will travel to the Pantanos de Villa, a wetland area located about 30 minutes from Pucusana.
1:30 pm: Arrival at Pantanos de Villa. Begin your exploration of this rich ecosystem, known for its diverse bird species and beautiful landscapes.
1:45 pm: Bird watching in Pantanos de Villa. Walk along the trails and observation platforms while looking for: Southern Lapwing, Peruvian Meadowlark, Yellow-hooded Blackbird, Pectoral Sandpiper, Yellow-crowned Night-Heron, Yellowish Pipit, Many-colored Rush Tyrant, Peruvian Thick-knee as well as many species of ducks and shorebirds. Capture the stunning scenery and birdlife with your camera or binoculars.

4:00 pm: Afternoon Snack and Relaxation. Take a break at one of the designated resting areas. Enjoy refreshments and reflect on the day’s birding adventures.
4:30 pm: Final Birding Session. Head out for a final birdwatching session, focusing on any species we may have missed earlier in the day.
5:00 pm: Return to Lima. Begin your journey back to Lima, enjoying the sunset views along the way.
6:00 pm: Upon returning to Lima, we will drop you off at your hotel, concluding your exciting day of birdwatching.
