Itinerary
Day 1: Afternoon arrival in Cusco
We leave at 08:00 hrs. from Cusco. After we pick you up from your hotel we go toward the Northwest of Cusco in a private car. On the way to the conservation area we take the pavement road where we will make stops for watching some other bird species and for any other interesting pictures in case you would be interested in.
Once we get to Chonta which is located at 11 000 feet high (3350 m.a.s.l.) from we will start to go walking for about one hour, you might even go horse riding to the best view point for Andean Condors, then we head to the Mirador del Condor (Condor’s viewpoint) where we will enjoy the fascinating view of Andean Condors flying and soaring around you. We have our lunch enjoing the great valley for Condors in Cuzco.
The Andean Condors on Apurimac Valley are actually guaranteed to see them and of course that you can photograph the Condors which come close to you some times. Right after we get, we enjoy enoughly the Condors of course that we have good views of other birds species in this beautiful Apurimac River Valley and Private Andean Community Conservation Area.
