Manu jungle expedition 5 Days & 4 Nights
The Manu National Park is one of the biggest wildlife sanctuaries in South America. It is situated in southeast Peru, between the Cusco and Madre de Dios regions. ITINERARY:
Day 1: Cusco - Chullpas de Ninamarca – Orchids of San Pedro
We will start our excursion picking you up from your hotel in Cusco to head towards the sector called Ninamarca, it is in this place we can see the “chullpas” pre-Hispanic constructions in a circular shape that possibly served to bury their dead, after this visit we will go to the town of Paucartambo, a beautiful town that has picturesque colonial houses and its interesting museum where they exhibit some ceramics and fabrics from pre-Inca dates; in addition to the various costumes (disguises) and masks that are used during the main festivities of the town.
Lunch will be on the way to the “cloud forest”, a beautiful place that will be our first point of contact with the Peruvian Amazon where with luck we will be able to appreciate the spectacled bear and the cock of the rocks, as well as the abundant flora. until we reach our hostel “Orquídeas de San Pedro” where we will rest the first night.
Day 2: San Pedro Lodge - Puerto Atalaya - Ecomanu Lodge
Our second day of excursion will start very early to try to observe the cock-of-the-rocks in their natural habitat. After this activity we will have our delicious breakfast to start the journey that will take us to the town of Pilcopata in this place we will have as an optional activity to take some rafting lessons between the Koñeq and Madre de Dios rivers for a period of 1 hour and a half. From Pilcopata we will head towards Puerto Atalaya and then board our boat and head towards our second resting place, this time at Ecomanu lodge. All this journey we will be accompanied by flora and fauna of the place.

Day 3: Lodge - Activities - Walk - Lodge
We will start this day with a morning walk where our guide specialized in ecotourism will explain and show us the diversity of plants, shrubs and trees, as well as the fauna that we can appreciate in this reserve. Our walk will take us to the Machuwasi lagoon, it is in this place that we will board our canoes to row and be able to appreciate the flora and fauna more closely, where with luck we will be able to appreciate the alligators and capybaras. We will return to the lodge after this great adventure to have a visit at night to observe insects and amphibians.
Likewise, at the lodge we will have the option of having fun in a canopy circuit that has climbing and descent with ropes.

Day 4: Lodge - Hot springs - Lodge
On our fourth day, after our delicious breakfast, we will board our boat to go to the pools of Aguas Calientes, where we can have fun and relax and then have a delicious lunch, all surrounded by the wonderful jungle. After this day we will return to the lodge for our last night of rest in this lodge.

Day 5: Lodge - Pilcopata - Cusco
This will be our last day of adventure and we cannot leave without first appreciating a clay lick. We will leave the lodge in the direction of a collpa that is a clay wall rich in minerals. Here we will be able to appreciate a spectacle of color and sounds of the hundreds of parrots and macaws that come to this place to consume the necessary minerals for their digestion.
After this activity we will return to the lodge to collect our things and head towards the Atalaya port and take the bus back to the city of Cusco which marks the end of our excursion through the jungle.
