Manu Birding Birdwatching Manu
An extraordinary birding adventure along the legendary Manu Road awaits you! This 10 days & 9 night birding tour, offers you a gateway to a world of avian wonders, where rare and endemic species abound. Prepare to be enchanted by the symphony of nature that remains in Manu. Day 1: Arrival in Cusco, Acjanaco Pass 3,400 meters
Transfer from Cusco to Manu, Our car will start the birding drive along Manu Road, ascending to Acjanaco Pass (altitude: 3,600 meters / 11,800 feet). Birding stops on the way to observe high-altitude species. Descend to the cloud forest area (altitude: around 2,000 meters / 6,600 feet) Arrive at the lodge in the cloud forest. We will have a well deserved lunch and overnight at our confortable lodge to spend the first night.
Day 2 : Full day of birding in the cloud forest, around 2,000 m.
Explore trails and lookout points in search of endemic and rare bird species. Enjoy the diverse birdlife of the cloud forest ecosystem Return to the lodge for lunch and dinner in the night. Overnight stay at the cloud forest lodge.
Day 3: Morning visit to the Cock of the rock lek, birding the bamboo forest
After having a delicious breakfast, we will continue the journey along Manu Road, descending towards the lowland rainforest. Stop at different altitudes for birding opportunities.
Reach the next rainforest lodge (altitude: around 400 meters / 1,300 feet), Evening hike to spot nocturnal birds and other creatures
Overnight stay at the rainforest lodge.
Day 4-5: Morning visit to the Cock of the rock lek, birding the bamboo forest
Transfer from Cusco to Manu, Our car will start the birding drive along Manu Road, ascending to Acjanaco Pass (altitude: 3,600 meters / 11,800 feet). Birding stops on the way to observe high-altitude species. Descend to the cloud forest area (altitude: around 2,000 meters / 6,600 feet) Arrive at the lodge in the cloud forest. Days 6-7: Full day of birding in the lowland rainforest, around 400 to 200 m.
Explore trails and lakes, in search of Amazonian bird species. Encounter a diverse array of colorful birds, including toucans, macaws, and parrots. Learn about the unique flora and fauna of the Amazon rainforest. Return to the lodge for the night. Overnight stay at a cloud forest lodge.
Day 7-9: Morning birding and return to Cusco
After breakfast, we will begin the return journey to Cusco. Ascend along Manu Road, stopping for birding at various altitudes. Arriving in Cusco at the midday we will transfer you to the airport for your next destination.

After breakfast, we will begin the return journey to Cusco. Ascend along Manu Road, stopping for birding at various altitudes. Arriving in Cusco at the midday we will transfer you to the airport for your next destination.
