Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Birding & Transfer to Manu Road
Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel for a morning departure and transfer from Cusco to Manu road, you will start the birding activity along Manu Road, ascending to Acjanaco Pass (altitude: 3,600 meters / 11,800 feet). Birding stops on the way to observe high-altitude species. Descend to the cloud forest area (altitude: around 2,000 meters / 6,600 feet) Arrive at the lodge in the cloud forest. We will have a well deserved lunch and overnight at our confortable lodge to spend the first night.

Day 2: Birding Cloud Forest
Today you will start exploring trails and lookout points in search of endemic and rare bird species. Enjoy the diverse birdlife of the cloud forest ecosystem. Return to the lodge for lunch and dinner in the night. Overnight stay at the cloud forest lodge.

Day 3: Cloud Forest – Tempered Forest
Start the day with a delicious breakfast, and then continue the journey along the cloud forest, yout driver will conduct all the road making stops at different altitudes for unique birding opportunities. Reach the next rainforest lodge (altitude: around 1400 meters) Evening hike to spot nocturnal birds and other creatures. Overnight stay at tempered forest lodge.

Day 4: Birding drive Manu Foothills

Day 5: Tempered Forest – Cock-of-the-rock lek
Early morning departure by car of aprox. 1 hour and 20-minute to Filadelfia port. From there, we’ll board our boat for a 40-minute upstream journey to the magnificent Macaw clay lick. Here, you’ll witness numerous macaws, parrots, and parakeets gathering in the treetops, waiting for the perfect moment to swoop down and perch on the riverbank cliffs to feast on clay, an essential part of their diet every morning.

Day 6: Birding morning and transfer to Cusco
After enjoying a delicious breakfast today, we will pack our belongings and prepare for our journey back to Cusco. We’ll retrace our route ascending along the andean lanscapes and stunting view. Once we arrive, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Lima and any connecting flights.
